From a heart health perspective, omega-3 helps balance cholesterol and protect arteries. One food, multiple benefits.
How to easily incorporate it into your plate
A few times a week is enough to reap the benefits. It’s best enjoyed in a light form: boiled, drizzled with olive oil, grilled, or roasted in the oven. Avoid frying—it degrades the omega-3 fatty acids and unnecessarily adds weight to the meal.
To further boost the effects, it can be accompanied by a squeeze of lemon (which promotes nutrient absorption), sweet potato for energy, or a nice plate of green vegetables.
And of course, diet always works better when combined with movement: a daily walk or a few stretches make all the difference in stimulating the muscles.
