Her experience also highlights something important about accessibility: sometimes, achieving a goal does not mean doing everything independently or using the same methods as everyone else. It can mean finding the right support and tools to make that goal possible.
Her mother’s assistance did not replace Vinayana’s intellectual work. It helped her communicate that work in a form that could be submitted, read, and evaluated.
Together, they found a way forward when the conventional approach no longer worked.
Building an Academic Future Through Literature
Vinayana’s determination carried her into higher education, where she pursued her passion for English literature.
She earned both a Master’s degree and an MPhil in English Literature from the University of Delhi.
