Why Donald Trump Says He’s Never Touched Alcohol — and the One Red-Flag Sign Your Drinking Isn’t “Casual” Anymore

“I Thought Blacking Out Was Just Part of Drinking”

Trump’s no-drinking rule fits into a bigger conversation that’s happening online right now: when exactly does “normal” drinking stop being normal?

Recovering alcoholic Corey Warren went viral on TikTok after sharing one major red flag he says people treat like a joke: blacking out.

He admitted he used to think blackouts were just “part of the story” — something you laughed about the next day when friends filled in the gaps.

“I used to think blacking out was just a part of drinking, part of having fun, part of the story I’d tell the next day,” he said.

But he later realized what was really going on:

“Blacking out isn’t what happens when I drink too much one time.”

“Blacking out is what happens when my tolerance is so high that I drink past my body’s limit — and I don’t even realize it.”

That’s not “fun.” That’s not “oops, wild night.”

That’s your brain literally shutting off to protect itself.

“That’s not normal, that’s not fun,” Corey said. “That’s my brain shutting down.”
