- My son becoming quiet and overly compliant around him.
- My son saying “I’ll be good” when no one had accused him of anything.
I tried to talk to my wife again.
“Something is wrong,” I said. “It started when your dad began coming over on my night shifts.”
She didn’t just disagree.
She got offended.
“My father would never,” she snapped, like the words themselves were an insult.
“You’re projecting. You’re being paranoid.”
