Start by mixing the lukewarm milk, sugar, and dry yeast. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
Add the egg, salt, orange zest, and oil to the mixture. It combines well.
Add the baking powder and flour little by little, kneading until you obtain a soft dough.
Add the butter and continue kneading until fully incorporated.
Let the dough rest for 30 minutes to rise.
Shape and decorate the pancitos:
Divide the dough into portions and shape into small rolls.
Place on a baking sheet and let rest for another 10 minutes.
Cook in a large skillet with a little oil over medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
