What Happened After the Ceremony
The reception felt like a different world than the ceremony had.
People who had looked at me with pity earlier suddenly couldn’t stop complimenting me.

Even Aunt Tracy approached later with forced cheer.
She muttered that she “had no idea” about the history of the dress.
