And then there’s the question that can leave even the most thoughtful guest wondering:
Do you strip the bed before you leave—or make it up neatly and pretend nobody ever slept there?
That last one can be surprisingly confusing!
I’ve stayed in homes where the expected thing was obvious, and others where I wasn’t quite sure what the host wanted. And honestly, when you’re
trying to be a thoughtful guest, you don’t want to accidentally create more work for the person who invited you.
So, should you remove the bedding or make the bed before leaving as a houseguest?
