The silence was instant.

Marco, standing at the altar, froze. His smile disappeared. His eyes moved from me… to the children… then back to me again.
“Liza…?” he whispered.
I walked slowly down the aisle—not as a guest… but as someone who had nothing left to prove.
“They’re yours,” I said quietly when I reached him.
The bride’s face changed instantly. Guests began murmuring. Phones came out. The perfect image he built… started to crack.
“You said I couldn’t give you children,” I continued. “But the truth is… you just weren’t there to see them.”
He looked speechless. Small.
