After Losing Her Grandson, She Kept His Breakfast Tradition Alive

There was nothing complicated about it.

Peggy would cook. The teenagers would gather around the table. There would be homemade pancakes, bacon, eggs, fruit, conversation, laughter, and the comfortable noise that comes when young people are simply enjoying being together.

For Sam and his friends, it had become something they could count on.

Then Sam was gone.

And suddenly, the Wednesday breakfasts could have disappeared with him.
