The variety in the South is fascinating. No. 1 and defending national champion Florida’s robust frontcourt that may not have an equal in the entire country.

Second-seeded Houston’s physicality. Illinois, the third seed, boasts the country’s second-rated efficiency offense.

No. 5 Vanderbilt’s top-notch backcourt of Tyler Tanner, Tyler Nickel and Duke Miles. Top 20 defenses belonging to No. 4 Nebraska and No. 7 Saint Mary’s.

It is a strong region with vastly different styles that could make for some terrific games.
